Pottering....

Yesterday I spent the day pottering in the garden, all the bedding plant's were past their best and had to come out....

I got lot's of seed's from the nasturtium's for next year....

This is the last of the sweet peas in this little glass jug, sweet peas are so summery....

And there was enought lavender to fill this wire trug and a vase, it smell's lovely as you walk past it....

All this went into the "brown" bin to be collected by the bin men....

Along with two hanging basket's and lot's of patio pot's so now I'll have to go to the garden centre for lot's of heather's and pansie's to fill them all up again

I thought these two had been quiet all afternoon... they'd gone upstairs to bed!!!! naughty naughty....

Wreath....

Who wouldn't love this wreath on their front door to welcome visitors?
I'm not too sure about the pink paint though....

Giveaway......

You all have such lovely name's for your bloggs and it got me thinking where did you all dream up the name's from???....Mine was from a flyer for fizzy drinks...

The background was this nice shade of yellow.... and I liked the word "lemonade"....but I needed something to go with it.I do love cats and "kitty" come to mind, so...."lemonade kitty" it was to be....Then I asked the lovely Happy from Happy and Rosie to design a banner for me.....I told her a few things I liked and this is what she come up with.....I love it and I hope you all do too.....

Giveaway....

Postman....

The clothes in the washing machine were  swishing, the pots in the dish washer were pottering and the hoover has been for a run around so I felt it was time for an  "elevenses"  coffee and chocolate biscuit yum yum!!! I'd just sat down when the postman dropped a large envelope through the door from the Royal Mail.....

I'd forgotten I'd ordered these stamps, I thought they'd look nice on my christmas envelopes this year....I'll have to go and look for some lovely cards shortly.....have a good day love Lucey x

Brooches

I saw some lovely brooches when I was in London recently and they had a very hefty price tag so...I decided to make some....

And this is how they turned out.....not bad for a first attempt.....

This one just needs a headscarf making out of that blue cotton lawn fabric...

And I just added some pins on the back...my next projects are knitted pumpkins...have a good day love Lucey x

Ladybird books....

My fingers must have  become detached from my hands when I was on e bay and went clicking away because when they come back I'd bought TWO copies of each book!!!!! I'm sure I was blonde in a former life as this happens quite regularly...... So I'll be offering my "doubles" in a giveaway soon.....have a good day.... love Lucey x
