Fairies...

In the town this morning I called at the pound shop for some new bird feeders and these beauties were only £1 each. I've seen them in the local garden centre for a fiver!!

I put them on my bird station at the bottom of the garden when out out of  nowhere about a dozen hungry birds were soon munching away but by the time I'd got the camera out they'd flown away.

I think I'll invent a camera on my glasses that when I double blink they take a piccy how cool would that be???

I'd run out of juicy sultanas so I gave them some grapes instead, my birds are sooo well fed!!!

The only things  brightening my garden up today are these little snowdrops,

and these pretty minature daffs, can you see where the fairies live?

As I passed Wilfred's hutch he was fast asleep, shhhhh.

I decided to call in Sweetpea Cottage for a cuppa, which was lovely and warm as earlier I'd thrown a couple of logs on the fire!!!

I snuggled down with my cuppa and this Miss Read book I'd got from the market for 50p another bargain.

"Chronicles of Fairacre" but then I decided to keep it for my holls as I like a good "Read" on holiday!! (excuse the pun)

What did you do today?

Love Lucey xx

Ooh, I like the look of Sweetpea cottage. I know what you mean about lack of colour in the garden, a lot of my plants that are normally up and flowering by now are under the ground asleep still. But hey at least the sun is shinning here today.
I thought you looked very glamorous in your photos by the way.

Sounds like a fab idea for an invention, put me down for a pair. When I fill my bird feeders as soon as I go back into the kitchen the birds all swoop down, they're obviously sitting up in the trees watching us and waiting.

Oh I definitely want one of those cameras!

My last few days have been spent trying to survive with no hot water or heating! Don't how people survived before running hot water! x

I do miss feeding the birds , they are such a pleasure. The seagulls are starting to feel romantic and making a terrible noise here at the moment !

Well, I can tell you what I didn't do today. I didn't find bird feeders for a pound! What a fabulous deal! Just came across your blog - thoroughly enjoying it! Bye from Vancouver.

You have reminded me to get some bird feeders myself! I need to sort out the garden it's so manky!!
I'll have to do it when I get back from Vegas now! (booked a couple of Recovery days!)
I had a couple of bird feeders last year and they actually went missing!
I have no idea where they went!!!!

I love the Miss Read books and can remember seeing a long row of them on the library shelves years ago. Sadly, there are only a few at a time now. I think they've made way for more modern stories which are good but it's nice to have something comforting like Miss Read isn't it?
