Many, many moons ago ( last July to be precise) when I was on holiday, I injured my Achilles tendon.
You wouldn't think such a tiny slip on a boat would cause so much pain.
To cut a long story short, I've been prescribed painkillers, rested it, had some physio, had my leg taped up, scanned twice and worn a "moonboot" for 3 months and tomorrow after 7 long months the specialist is going to give me a scan while flushing out the "sack" round the tendon with a needle.....nice!!
He tells me this should cure it I do hope so because 7 months is a long time to be in such a lot of pain, being the Achilles tendon it also means I can't walk very far, stand for long, get up and down stairs very easily, go out in the rain/snow etc, etc so it will be nice just to get back to normal.
First on my list is to ride my lovely "poppins"
and I'm hoping we don't get any more snow like this mornings little covering, it didn't last very long but I'm sure I've just seen a snowflake whirl past the window!!
Ok moan over, just wish it was this time tomorrow!

Oh Lucey you poor thing - can't believe you are still suffering. Am thinking now that my tear was easier to be dealt with that your injury.
I hope the procedure works and you and Poppins can be reunited - I remember being allowed back on my bike and the freedom I regained :)
Oh I really hope you are back to fighting fitness very soon.Such a long time to be in pain and suffering.
Ooh that sounds not much fun but I'm so glad you are getting somewhere. You will soon be pottering about on that beautiful bike again. Let us know how you get on xx
