I too have thought how lovely the names were for people's blogs, yours included! I needed a name for my craft business, one that would stand out and something unusual/pretty. I don't know why but 'Cherry Vanilla' popped in my head, after searching I found it was the name of a 70's singer so I ditched that idea and added 'Ivy' instead of Cherry. I adore the smell of Vanilla and Ivy is such a beautiful plant I figured why not :) X

Hi!

My blog is named after my grandmothers... my first blog Vintage Tea never felt right, it was just a random name I settled for. When I decided to "re-vamp" my blog I thought hard about what to call it and then it just came to me and it just sounds so right now!

Quaker Queen said...

Hi, My story begins years ago with my dear late father, he was a keen bird fancier. One pair of birds he kept were called Quaker conours which he loved so much. Years after his death I took up bird keeping and when I got the chance to buy my own pair of Quakers I did. Ive had such good luck this year and my Quakers have had two young, so as you can imagine im delighted with them, I feel like a Queen! so comes Quaker Queen! xx

And I love all ticking stripes fabrics - if I see the fabric I have to buy it. I've covered chairs , made cuhions and recently had to buy an old wooden ironing board because it was covered with old matress ticking!
