"Speedy" escapes...

"Speedy" is my daughter's pet tortoise and he's called speedy because he's so fast.

One minute he was in his "garden"  and the next he'd climbed over the fence and escaped!!

going... going ...gone....

And he's away.

I couldn't believe how quick he got out of there and then there was no stopping him, he speeds everywhere, I think I'll stick to my doggies!!

Love Lucey xx

Love that picture of him coming over the 'wall' - he looks a man on a mission, not to be messed with!

We too have a house tortoise and if he gets out in the summer he disappears so quickly. We lost him for two days last summer when the builders were in, he had dug himself in under the hen house!!

Ahhh!
I love Speedy!
My gran used to have a tortoise and he loved to get as close as he could to the coal fire! I think he was nearly cooking!
They're such little characters!

Lucey,
How gorgeous are your pictures? I have been soaking up your lovely spring pictures you have posted. Wow! So beautiful, and how heavenly that you have SPRING! We are still having winter. And with more snow to come, will still be having winter for a while!

I had to laugh at Speedy. We had a turtle just like him. So speedy. One second he was in my garden by my pond, the next second, I don't know quite where he went. I am hoping to the big pond down the street...

And what exactly is that lovely conker you got for your mom for her birthday? Whatever it is, it is lovely! I am sure she was thrilled. It looks heavenly.

And the story of the button box. Wow! Oh my, what a gift! Such beautiful buttons!

Have a great day, and thanks for sharing spring with all of us who won't have it for a while yet!
