Crinoline Lady transfer...

I'm thrilled to bits to have won this Crinoline Lady transfer from e bay but  I need your help!

Does anybody know where I buy the material/linen to make a tablecloth from please???

I can see myself spending many happy hours embroidering away and any help would be much appreciated,

I might even make it into a cushion or, will it be a tablecloth??

Thank you

Love Lucey xx

What about John Lewis??? I remember my sister buying tablecloth material some years ago, where some squares of it could be embroidered!!! That's all I can think of for now!!! Good luck, the transfer looks lovely!!!

You could try here http://www.abakhan.co.uk/ We have a local shop, but they do online. I had forgotten my mum did these, she did exactly the same thing, a tablecloth and used the transfers, memories! Good luck.

What a pretty transfer! I do love all things 'Victoriana' like ladies in crinoline (I was born in the wromg era!). Im afraid though I dont know of any good places to buy the fabric, ave you tried your local market? We have some very good fabric stalls in our market.
Thank You for your lovely comments on my blog by the way, Im not sure how to add a 'follow' button (im a little computer illiterate and tend to muddle through) although there should be a 'follow' option on the very top left of the page.

Hi Lucey - I haven't tried embroidering from a transfer, please let us know how you get on. How exciting to have the prospect of your own craft room? There will be no stopping you!xx

What a lovely transfer! What about buying a ready made linen cloth (they have some lovely quality ones in John Lewis?) Then you can just embellish it?
I'm all for time saving where that sort of thing is concerned and cost wise it probably won't make a lot of difference :)
