Ice sculptures...

Mistletoe....

cakes....

robins....

pretty windows....

and ice sculptures!!

We got the train to York on saturday and as it was Mr Luceys birthday we only went in the "man" shops,
had lunch and browsed, arm in arm, round swinegate for the festival of angels.

Just look at these ice carvings,

we knew they were real as the ice was  dripping,

he's a handsome chap

and look at this ice bar, I was given a chocolate cup and my baileys was poured down the slide and into my chocolate cup....delicious.

Here's one of the chaps chiseling a sculpture its a dolphin with waves, how good is that, clever man.

As well as baileys we had roasted chestnuts, mince pies and mulled wine hick, hick, and a good time was had by all!!

Love Lucey xx

Wow how gorgeous are those sculptures, we had loads of them when on our cruise and had the chocolate evening. They are so clever, watched some being done on Phil and Kirsties Christmas the other night. As yet would you believe never been to York but on place to visit next year.n

Small world Lucey. Sounds like you had as lovely a day as we had, it was very magical, and the ice sculptures were something else. Did you manage to buy a Robbin, I was so disappointed when they were all sold out. I will have to settle with trying to make one myself.

Wa lovely day out, me and the OH have been to York just the once but really enjoyed it. It's a bit far to go for the day. Love the Baileys in the chocolate sup, my idea of heaven :) x

We had the ice sculptures in Norwich a few years ago - they are just amazing aren't they? And they won't melt too much in this freezing weather either!
